Deer in the city

The second day in a row I've seen a deer walking through our urban residential streets. He was very blasé.

I paused to drink in the woods, in front of a hollow tree.  After a short minute I noticed the cunning little face of a chipmunk peering out.  We both stayed like this until Nigel rustled some leaves and she darted back into the tree. Mirror lake was shimmering in the background.

 

This squirrel was in the alley. I'm afraid they were sick or hurt.
